Ckay Explains Why He Can’t Be The Next Wizkid Or Davido.

CKay, a Nigerian global celebrity, has explained why he does not hope to be the next Wizkid or Davido.
Ckay recently spoke with Factory78 about people trying to label him as the next Wizkid or Davido.

He claims that he cannot be classed because he is the first of his type and far too distinctive to be compared to another artist.

As he puts it:

“I am the first of my kind, I’m the first of my breed of artists. I’m not the next Wizkid or the next Davido. I cannot be boxed, I feel like I’m too talented, I’m too unique of an individual to be categorized by another artist because…I’m not even saying this because I’m trying to be cocky or anything but like I just have a very unique personality. A unique mix of emotions.”

He also mentioned that how he grew up and the environment he grew up in formed his thinking as a hustler and how he has been able to rise to the top of whatever field he is in.

“First of all, I’m from Anambra state, I’m Igbo, I grew up in Kaduna, which is like a Hausa state and I live in Lagos. So like I grew up in like a not very rich background, so I know what it means to hustle on the street. Like I know what it means to have nothing and I know what it means to be privileged to go go to one of the best schools in my state. Yunno…Also in 2010, I participated in a physics competition…”
