The Delta State Government is recruiting graduate instructors for specific areas in secondary schools in the state, which is being made public for the benefit of the general public, particularly Deltans. Recruitment for Delta State Teachers is done yearly by the state government.

The following are the topic areas, requirements, and application method:

IMPORTANT NOTES:

(a) Applicants must be under the age of 40.

(b) It is recommended that all applicants provide both working phone numbers and email addresses.

(c) TRCN Induction/Registration, as well as a license, are a plus.

(d) Age Declaration applicants must get certification from the National Population Commission.

(e) Applicants with a third (3rd) class and a pass in their degree or equivalent certificate are not required to apply.

(f) Applicants must apply for a subject that is relevant to their field of study as advertised.

(g) In the first instance, successful candidates will be expected to serve in RURAL/RIVERINE SCHOOLS for a mandated duration of five (5) years. As a result, only those who are willing to serve in such environments should apply.

APPLICATION METHOD

To apply for the Recruitment for Delta State Teachers, applicants must submit their applications online. GUIDELINES FOR APPLICATION

1. Go to the bottom of this page and click the ‘START APPLICATION’ button.
2. You will be directed to the Bio-Data page, where you must fill in your personal information.
3. Make sure your MOBILE NUMBER and EMAIL address are correct, functional, and accessible when filling out the Bio-Data page, as your UserID and Password will be sent to you through them.
4. You must declare any disability or special needs you may have truthfully in order for adequate accommodations to be made for you throughout the recruitment process.
5. Applicants must: a) Upload a recent passport photograph that is clear and legible.
6. Upload the documents listed below to the site.
7. All relevant academic/professional certificates, such as FSLC, WASSCE/SSCE, degrees, and other relevant certificates.
8. NYSC Certificate – Certificates of Discharge, Exemption, or Exclusion.
9. National Population Commission-certified birth certificate or declaration of age, Certificate of Local Government of Origin, Valid means of identification (preferably National Identity Card)
10. When you’ve finished filling out the Bio-Data Page, click the ‘SAVE and CONTINUE’ button to save your work.
11. Upon successful submission of your BIO-DATA, you will receive an SMS and an EMAIL containing your UserID and PASSWORD (PLEASE NOTE: Your UserID and PASSWORD will also be DISPLAYED under the registration status on the application page). If you do not receive both an email and a text message after completing the registration process, please send an email to jobs@deltastatemobse.net and include your phone number in the message.
12. You will be directed to the Academic Qualification page after successfully completing and submitting the Bio-Data. You must provide your primary (basic), secondary (post-primary), and tertiary education credentials here. Please keep the following in mind:
13. For Primary and Secondary Qualifications, if you attended more than one school at any level, simply state the school from which you received the Certificate on this Application.
14. For the Tertiary Education Qualification, you should only state your FIRST DEGREE Tertiary Education Qualification. The qualification will appear in the panel below if you click the ‘ADD TERTIARY EDUCATION’ button. When you’re finished, click the NEXT button to submit and continue.
15. Following the Qualifications page, you must declare your NYSC status and choose the POST APPLIED FOR. Please be sure that the position you’ve applied for is connected to your first-year degree program. Click ‘COMPLETE APPLICATION’ once you’ve completed the page’s prerequisites.
16. When you click the Complete Application button, you’ll see a summary of the information you entered in all of the fields, which you can review before confirming.
17. If you find that you’ve made any mistakes while filling out the application, click Save & Exit. To make changes and save them, log in using your UserID and password.
18. You have 336 hours (14 days) after the submission of your Application to modify any information you have submitted. If you submit your application with less than 24 hours before the deadline, the fee may be lower.
19. Applications that were started but not completed before the application process closed would be removed.

The following documents must be scanned and uploaded by applicants:

• A recent passport photo that is clean and unblemished
• All academic/professional certifications relevant to the application, such as the First School Leaving Certificate, WASSC/SSC, Degrees, and other relevant professional certificates
• Certificates of Discharge, Exemption, or Exclusion from NYSC.
• National Population Commission-certified birth certificate or declaration of age
• Origin Certificate from the Local Government.
• Identification methods that are reliable (preferably National Identity Card).
• Candidates who have been shortlisted will be notified through SMS and email and invited to take a computer-based test (CBT)
• Only those who pass the CBT will be invited to the Oral Interview and Microteaching Practicum.
